Green Smoothie

This morning for breakfast I had a wonderful green smoothie. If you'd like to try it, here's the recipe:

2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup light soymilk

6 whole frozen strawberries

1/2 cup blue berries

1 clementine

1 medium banana

1 cup water

Added bonus: if you drink this smoothie, you will look like this woman*

Etsy

I've been looking on etsy recently at vintage patterns. It's really fun to see all the different styles, some lovely, others not so much. The problem was that I really liked them, but my pocket book did not. However, today (while studying Heart Failure) I happened to find these lovely ladies looking at me (amazing isn't it) and to my wonder and surprise the price liked my pocket book (some of them were 0.99) not to mention they were my size and most of them are uncut in their original form. Hurray! So now I have even more fun to look forward to when school is over!

Early morning snow

I woke up this morning with the feeling that it had snowed, and when I looked out my window I saw that it indeed had done that wonderful thing... snowed. I am so glad to see this long lost friend of mine and hope that he will stick around for awhile. I hope your Friday goes well,

Moose Meat

 

 

 

I'm not writing this post to teach you how to cook. No, I'm writing this to show that when my mother goes away, we do actually eat. well. So you've all had hamburgers before, but have you ever had buffalo burgers? We had some tonight along with stake fries and ... vegatables!

And as you can see, it was only 12 easy steps (and maybe a couple more) to a nice dinner.

Library Finds

The College I go to periodically gets rid of some of their library books (sad I know, but they think it's needed). I like to look and see if there is anything worth bringing home (there almost always is!) and this week I got a steal. A three volume set of a very famous name: Palmer handbook of North American Birds. I was pretty excited. They may be from the seventies, but who cares. 

Plus they have cool illustrations and charts!

Snail mail

On Friday I went through my entire iphoto and deleted over 1,000 pictures. Because of this, I was inspired last night to put all of my pictures from my camera onto my computer. When I did this, I found these very old pictures of a mountain snail that I took when we were in the Smokey Mountains. Isn't he cute? So I thought I would just encourage you all to send someone a piece of snail mail today (wait the post office is closed, so send it tomorrow) Have a happy monday!
